“After working my way up during 6 years in the hospitality industry, where I met my husband, I have since gained a decade of business and administrative experience, having managed offices and supported senior staff in SME’s in a variety of sectors including construction, events, education, oil and gas engineering and more recently law.

Outside of work I am a self-proclaimed foodie and enjoy visiting various food outlets and events with my chef & early years teacher husband, Steve, and our 5 year old son. I love a good coffee and also ale, the darker the better. I enjoy the beach in all seasons and indulge in amateur photography using my Samsung phone. We have lived in Devon for 3 and a half years and we love it.”

Tom Allbrook –

“Born in North Devon in 1992, Tom has had a love of cooking from a young age initially helping his Mum in the kitchen at home. He had his first restaurant job at the age of 12 washing up and peeling the vegetables, and by 16 he was able to start a full time apprenticeship in catering where he gained his professional qualifications.

Working in a variety of different kitchens including hotels and the kitchen of a well know Pizza chain, he eventually became lead chef in a Pub/Restaurant which earned a gold award for “Taste of the West“.  Earlier this year he and his partner Ruth took a food tour across America, where they tasted and experienced the smoky, rustic BBQ food found there. This style of cooking for which Tom has a passion, along with his skills in fine dining, is now incorporated into his own cooking here in Devon.

Since returning to the UK, they have set up their own Street Food / Private Catering Company “Hornbrook Kitchen” in North Devon, where using the knowledge and skills acquired over the years, they can now offer a complete dining experience.”

Stephanie Darkes –

Stephanie moved to Exeter from London in July 2015, since then she has fallen madly in love with the city, Devon and the South West and has promised never to return to live in her hometown.
